2019 Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon

James Halliday Wine Companion Rating
Gold 95 Points

A distinctive cabernet described by the maker as an 'elegant' version of the standard cabernet, with a percentage of whole bunches added to the ferment. Matured in American and French oak for 16 months, it has slurped up the oak, retaining a cedary sheen. A deep, dark world of violets, cassis, briar and wild forest berries. Light savouriness on the palate. Supple and, yes, elegant. Bring out the decanter with this one.
