2014 Shiraz - Rating 96
A gloriously elegant medium-bodied wine, with exceptional balance, line and length; the perfumed purity of the bouquet is played out on the almost delicate, and totally seductive, palate, the handling of oak and tannins deliberately throwing all the emphasis on the predominantly red fruit flavours. Gold medal Victorian Wine Show ?15, but in my opinion deserved the trophy for Best Shiraz.
2014 Cabernet Sauvignon - Rating 95
Shares the fragrance and elegance of the Shiraz, although, of course, the flavours are very different. This is cool-grown cabernet, its acidity one of the cornerstones joining with fine tannins the other cornerstone. Not a normal show style, the Victorian Wine Show ?15 judges to be commended awarding it a gold medal.
