2016 Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon
What a year we had in 2016. Near perfect conditions in the foothills of the Strathbogie Ranges in Victoria allowed for an optimum vintage. Small luscious berries ripened in ideal conditions.
We hand-picked the fruit at less than 2 tonnes to the acre in early March. This insured intensity of colour and flavour. There’s a hint of the Maygar mint and a mouthful of raspberry and chocolate.
Combining the fruit with some very expensive French oak has given the wine a silky, balanced and complex palate. The length is sensational. It’s all I have hoped for and more.
Please decant this wine. Drink now or cellar for at least 10 years
