Tasting Notes

Generosity is the keyword, with soft, pillowy plum and blackberry fruits in a typically well made wine. The balance of fruit, tannins and oak can’t be faulted. Screwcap. 15% alc. Rating 94 To 2031 $30

Alcohol: 15%

Another wonderful season for Shiraz in the foothills of the Strathbogie Ranges. Rainfall was minimal with lots of sunshine to ripen the small berries. Copped at just 2 tonne to the acre, intense deep colour in the berries is reflected in the lustre of the wine. Blackberry and dark fruit flavours combine with beautifully matched oak to produce a wine of complexity and true Shiraz characters. Lovely length lasts well after the last remnants of the bottle remain. A remarkable year.
